The life of a disciple is always about relationship. This Sunday we’ll use the triangle to look at our three primary relationships: God, close friends, others. Strengthening and enriching these relationships strengthens our Christian life.
It’s clear that being a person of faith means being in an “Up” relationship with God. God is God and we are not. Our lives are spent growing closer and closer to God, which often includes growing in our acceptance or awareness that God actually wants to be close to us.
Then we have “In” relationships with close friends and family – those people in our lives who we love and who love us back. Finally we have “Out” relationships with the rest of humility. This is where our justice and charity work happens.
