OPEN TO FUTURE

pastormia20

When I was researching fear last week, one of the standard human fears is fear of the unknown, especially around the future.

Let’s be honest, the future is a whole lot scarier when we’ve done things that are wrong. Then, the future holds all the consequences — both the natural ones and the opportunity for confession. Many of us obsess about the wrong things we’ve done so much that it paralyzes us from moving into confession and reconciliation.

It’s helpful to know that our ancestors in faith dealt with the same problems. When things got real, Peter betrayed Jesus. That’s a relationship killer.

For Peter, faith opened the door to the future. Faith opens doors for us too.

Peace,

Pastor Mia
