Faith opens doors. When we follow Jesus, we discover that doors open up in our lives. That we are freer, more open to dreams, and ready for the future. Faith doesn’t just open doors, it throws them wide open as we move from a life of fear and negativity to a life of faith, possibility, and hope.
This Sunday we’ll look at how faith opens the door to dreams. Dreams and inspiration are core to human thriving. Discovering our dreams and then investing time and energy into them is a big part of a life lived well.
Joseph was a dreamer. It got him in trouble. In fact, he shared his dreams in a way that upset his brothers so much they got rid of him. He was sold into slavery and thrown in prison. Then, that same gift of dreaming got him out of prison and eventually it led to saving a whole people from starvation and Joseph’s rise to assistant to Pharoah.
