Relationship ”Rules” — Musings from Pastor Mia

We are spending several weeks hearing readings from the Letter to the Ephesians, hearing early church thinking on what it means to be church together. What a perfect time to hear this wisdom, as I join you as new pastor and we all start to worship again in person. So often lists of how to behavior feel like rules to follow, but we’re reminded that much of these behavior “rules” are really wisdom about having good relationships. It’s about behaving in a way that build trust and feels safe. And it’s only when we feel safe and trust those around us that we can be deeply honest about our faith and what God is up to in our lives. And that’s where faith happens!!
