Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

This Week Dec 6 - 12

In Worship This Week
Are you ready for Christmas?  Are the things that really matter ready?  Whether you're in need of joy or seeking to reclaim a sense of wonder, join us for worship at 10:30 a.m. this week as we continue preparing our hearts together.
Read John 20:11-18 in anticipation of worship.
Cantata!--Sunday, Dec. 10 @ 4 p.m.
Don't miss our choir's annual Christmas cantata!  Be sure that you plan to stay for pie and fellowship, too!  If you're able to bring a pie, please do.  Thanks!
Holiday Events Schedule
We'll continue to have Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. every week--of course!--but there are other extra special events you won't want to miss!  Please add these to your calendar.  Also, save the image to your phone and send as an invitation to friends and neighbors who don't have a place to worship on Christmas Eve in particular.
Sunday Supper Reminder
Sunday Supper will be early this month!  We will enjoy fellowship and camaraderie on Sunday, December 17th for our Community Sunday Supper - 5 to 7 p.m.  Feeding Minds presentation will be 5:30 until 6:30 p.m.  Join us for a meal and Christmas Crafts - presented by Linda Hutchison; simple, beautiful crafts with lots of holiday cheer!
Sunday School Reminder
Young Disciples and youth Sunday School (upstairs and downstairs) will NOT have Sunday school on Christmas eve Sunday, December 24th.  We will be having Sunday School on Sunday, December 31st at 9:30 a.m.

What a Sunday!
Sunday, Dec. 3 found Living Hope celebrating Las Posadas with buñuelos, champurrado, and a piñata!  (The post-worship festivities were made possible by Ed Hernandez, Lannie Shanley, Sharon & Ted Wimer, and Maria Bonita Bakery of Kuna)  That night, KUMC members took part in the 6th annual community choir concert as choir members (Ed Hernandez, Wendi Homan, Mary Johnson, Elaine Rayanic, Kriss Reasor, Ted Wimer), speakers (Rev. Karen), ushers (Jerry Gibson, Ginny Greger, Cassidy Hood), cookie bakers for the reception (Ginny Greger, Wendi Homan, Cassidy Hood, Becky Platt, Theresa & ReighLyn Rich), and setup/cleanup crew (Brayden Rich), and many fabulous audience members!  Tremendous thanks to all who made this an extra special day at Living Hope!
