This Week May 23 through May 29, 2018

In Worship This Week
It's Trinity Sunday!  Come join in worship as we praise our Creating-Redeeming-Sustaining God with music and the Word!
Worship will also include birthday blessings for anyone with a May birthday.
Read Matthew 3:13-17 in anticipation of worship.
New Life at Living Hope--Special Offering
If you followed the New Life calendar through the Easter season or otherwise wish to support this effort, we're gratefully receiving these special offerings now.  If you write a check, please indicate "New Life" on the memo line.  If offering cash, please be sure it's clearly marked.  Ted Wimer can also assist you any Sunday in making a card donation.
Remember that this offering will be used to spruce up our building so that we continue to offer hospitality to our congregation and the whole community.
Thank you for your generosity!
Sunday School Summer Break and Celebration
Please note that Sunday School will go on Summer Break as the kids finish up the school year. Our last class will be on May 27th. We will host a celebration down in the fellowship hall on the 27th from 9:30-10:30 and EVERYONE is invited to attend.
Please keep reading the Weekly Reminder throughout the summer months to find out about special events we will host for our youth. We try to do one a month. Keep all of our youth and teachers in your prayers. God Bless!

You Are Invited to Annual Conference
If you've never been, Annual Conference for United Methodists is a combination of business meetings, fantastic worship, joyful celebrations, happy reunions, and a tremendous amount of fellowship!  This year, it's being held in Boise, June 13 - 16!  United Methodists from across Oregon and Idaho will gather for events at The Riverside Hotel and Cathedral of the Rockies.  YOU can register as a guest to attend any or all of it!  You can also just drop in as a guest or attend and fully participate in worship, which tends to be a highlight!  Here's the full schedule; worship info is as follows:
Wed., June 13 @ 7 p.m. @ Cathedral of the Rockies, Emmaus Center--Memorial Communion Service, followed by the bishop's address
Thurs., June 14 @ 7 p.m. @ Cathedral of the Rockies sanctuary--Commissioning Service
Sat., June 16 @ 8:30 a.m. @ The Riverside Hotel ballroom--Closing Worship Celebration
During Annual Conference, many groups have special luncheons or dinners, and United Methodist Women is among them.  But you do not have to be a member of the organization (or even a woman) to attend.  All you have to do is register for Annual Conference (it's free), select the UMW Luncheon on Thursday, June 14, and pay the cost of the meal.
Dan Prinzing, Executive Director of the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights in Boise, will speak at the luncheon.   "We Each Have a Story"-- the title of his presentation -- intertwines the history of the Anne Frank Memorial and the fact that each of us has a story of discrimination.  It promises to be an excellent presentation.
Everyone is invited and welcome, so register now!
What a Pentecost!
We celebrated the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the birthday of the church, our special New Life offering, and Baby Forrest's baptism!  Also, we added more prayers to our prayer wall, then burned them after worship to offer them up to God.  (Thanks, Calvin--our new liturgical pyromaniac--for offering up these prayers for us!)  Take a look...
