Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

THIS WEEK JUN 13-19

In Worship This Week
Wendi Homan, certified lay speaker, will be guided by the Spirit to lead us in life-giving worship at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday!

Opening Minds will not meet June 14.  We'll resume our study on the 21st.

You're Invited to "Raw Tools"
Hyde Park Mennonite Fellowship and Cathedral of the Rockies invite you to a fascinating event on Friday, June 22 at the Cathedral (717 N. 11th Street, Boise).  Blacksmithing a gun into a garden tool begins at 6:30 p.m.; program begins at 7 p.m.  More info can be found on the attached flyer here.

Feeding Minds following Sunday Supper - June 24th
Human Trafficking is the second largest and fastest growing criminal industry in the world.   About 21 million children and adults worldwide are currently in forced labor, bonded labor and forced prostitution. Globally, an average of three people become victims of human trafficking for every 1,000 individuals.  And it can be found right here in Idaho.
This year at Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference, members will vote on legislation that urges United Methodists in Oregon and Idaho to take seriously the problem of human trafficking and to take some action to raise this issue in their communities and join local efforts to serve victims.
You can learn more about what is happening here in Idaho by attending “Feeding Minds” as part of Sunday Supper on June 24 at 5:30 and 6:30.  Guest speaker Penny Lee Ekard is working on this issue and will share what is being done locally.

Thank You, Living Hope Family
We are so grateful for seven amazing years at Living Hope, a wonderful last Sunday of worship with you, a fantastic potluck-picnic, and all of your beautiful expressions of farewell.  Your thoughtfulness, care, trust, and love are gifts that we cherish.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  --Ed & Rev.
